- DO NOT take Aspirin, Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E, and/or Ibuprofen or blood thinners 48 hours prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.
- DO NOT drink coffee, alcohol, or energy drinks 24 hours before your procedure to avoid bleeding/oozing and scab formation.
- No laser or electrolysis on or around the treatment area one week prior to procedure.
- No Botox or fillers in the procedure area at least 2 weeks prior and after.
- If you regularly get your eyebrows shaped, waxed, threaded or tinted, please do so at least 3 days before your appointment.

- DO NOT tan or sunbathe 14 DAYS before & after the procedure.
- Not following these steps WILL lead to excess bleeding, blurry strokes and undesirable color.
Post Procedure Care
- Wash 2x a day, once in the AM, once in the PM before bed.
- GENTLY wash your brows with a couple pumps of brows soap (given during appointment)
- You do not need to scrub the brows, just use CLEAN fingers to wash with gentle wiping motions in the direction of hair growth about 5x per brow, then rinse with water.
- Use a fresh paper towel to pat them dry, do not rub.
- Apply a light coating of healing balm (given during appointment) to brows after every wash to keep them hydrated. This will help avoid scabbing by removing any excess fluid, blood, and pigment that may collect in the area, and keeping the brows hydrated.
- DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any flaking or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring. There is no need to touch your brows at all unless you are washing them with clean hands.
- DO NOT get your brows wet unless you are cleaning them during your daily regimen for 10 DAYS. This includes any water, so no swimming, steam or hot water from the shower, makeup, setting sprays, perfume, etc. Even a small drop that seems unimportant may expand the wound, cause infection, or create a scab which will pull your pigment out with it. Use your shower stickers! After 10 days, you may shower normally, and wash your face with a gentle cleanser.
- NO Sweating. Avoid heavy sweating for the first 10 DAYS. You MUST refrain from working out and sweating (even a little) for 10 DAYS to prevent the salt & oils from damaging your pigment or creating a cloudy/powdered effect.
- NO facials, retinols, AHA's, botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 6-8 WEEKS after your initial procedure and 4 weeks after your touch-up. NO Latisse, Revitabrow, Grande Brow or other growth serum on the brows 30 DAYS before & after treatment is fully healed or you may shift your pigment.
- WAIT 2 weeks before threading or waxing brows, and 4 weeks before tinting. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 WEEKS after procedure.
What to expect during healing process
DAY 1: The treated area will feel a bit sore and there maybe some swelling and redness. Fluids will leak from the tattoo to form scabs. You do not want these fluids to sit on your tattoo and form these scabs. You will want to wipe your tattoo every 10-15 minutes for 2 hours after treatment with a dry cotton pad provided at your appointment and pat the area dry to ensure no fluids sit and form scabs.
DAY 2-4: Do not touch your tattoo with dirty fingers, remember it is an opened and healing wound. An infection could possibly ruin the tattoo. As your brows oxidize it will appear bold and darker, this is expected during the healing phase and temporary.NO WORRIES!!
DAY 5-10+: Flaking may occur and is often accompanied by itching and tightness. You may continue to use a sheer layer of balm to aid with the itchiness and tightness no more than 2x a day. It is IMPORTANT that you do not scratch your brows or pick at the flakes. Picking can cause scarring, loss of pigment or an infection.
DAY 14-30+: Once flaking has stopped, note that your tattoo may have a milky/grey hue to it. This just means that the surface skin is healed but the underneath layers still need time to heal. Some strokes will complete disappear which is expected and others will re-emerge as it gets closer to the complete healing process which takes 6 -12 weeks. At 6 weeks the true and final color of the tattoo will show. It is only after 6 weeks that a touchup to the tattoo can be done.
6-12 WEEKS: At this point your brows should be fully healed, Note that results will vary with each individual and are extremely dependent on your skin and how you care for it during healing. It may take more than one session to achieve your desired result. It's now time to come in for your touch up so we can assess and perfect!
